There is always something exciting happening at Chamber member What the Woof Pet Supplies, and the Sicamous & District Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to highlight everything this wonderful local business has to offer for pet owners, travellers, and animal lovers throughout the community.

What the Woof has become a go-to stop in Sicamous for quality pet supplies, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors travelling through the Shuswap. Whether you have dogs, cats, birds, fish, or small animals, they offer a wide variety of products to help keep your pets healthy, happy, and cared for.

Another exciting seasonal update is the return of Sandy Paws Outdoor Self Serve Pet Wash, reopening after the May long weekend. This is the perfect stop after a muddy trail walk, beach day, or lake adventure with your furry companions. Customers are asked to bring their own towel, while soap will be supplied onsite.

Mark your calendars as well for nail trims with Megan on Sunday, May 31st from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This is a drop-in event with trims available for $10 by cash or e-transfer. Even better, all money raised stays local to help animals in need. Bottles and cans are also being accepted as donations to support local animal care initiatives.

Visitors will also want to check out damngood.eats food truck, serving up food onsite Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM all summer long, making What the Woof a great stop for both people and pets alike.

Travelling through Sicamous with your RV, truck, or trailer? What the Woof is also offering affordable overnight backyard parking, giving travellers another convenient and welcoming option while enjoying everything the area has to offer.

From pet essentials to community fundraising, self-serve pet washing, traveller amenities, and great food, What the Woof continues to create a unique and valuable experience for customers in Sicamous.

Old Town Bay Store Open

Lake life in Sicamous is calling, and there’s no better place to experience it than at Old Town Bay Marina.

As a valued member of the Sicamous & District Chamber of Commerce, Old Town Bay Marina continues to create an incredible lakeside experience for locals and visitors alike on beautiful Shuswap Lake.

Old Town Bay offers so much more than just moorage. Their full-service marina features secure gated slips, premium fuel, onsite parking, a marina store, boat launch access, hookups, porter service, and easy access to the water for every kind of summer adventure. Whether you’re heading out for a day on the lake, launching for a weekend getaway, or spending the season on the water, Old Town Bay is designed to make boating easy and enjoyable.

Now open for the season:
• Marina Store stocked with essentials and open Thursday through Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Fuel Dock — Open Daily 8:30am-6:30pm
• Moorage and slip rentals for the 2026 season are now booking
• Parking and boat launch access available onsite

Coming soon:
The Old Town Bay Pub is set to open May 28, 2026, offering lakeside dining, drinks, patio seating, and a relaxed Shuswap atmosphere perfect after a day on the water.

Friday: 11:00am – 8:30pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 8:30pm
Sunday: 8:30am – 8:30pm
Monday: 8:30 – 4:00pm

Old Town Bay is also home to Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations and works alongside boating and rental services that help make Sicamous the Houseboat Capital of Canada. Congratulations to Chamber member Dr. Shelley Geier and team over at Sicamous Vision Center for winning the Optometry Giving Sight Silver Medal!

This Silver Medal is awarded nationally for contributions in the world-wide effort to transform lives around the globe. Optometry Giving Sight is the only global fundraising initiative specifically targeting the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error.
