Overnight Bridge Closures in Sicamous

Planning to travel through Sicamous later this month? Please be aware of upcoming overnight closures of Highway 1 at the R.W. Bruhn Bridge.

📅 August 17, 24 & 31, 2026
🕥 10:30 PM – 5:30 AM

The bridge will be closed to traffic while crews complete essential construction work, including concrete pours for the new bridge deck.

During the closures:
➡️ All traffic will be directed to Highway 97A/B as the alternate route.
➡️ Please follow construction signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
➡️ Emergency services will have on-demand access to cross the bridge.

These closures are an important part of the ongoing R.W. Bruhn Bridge & Approaches Project and are scheduled overnight to minimize impacts to traffic as much as possible.
