The District of Sicamous is hosting a Pre-Candidate Information Session for the upcoming 2026 General Local Election.

If you’ve ever thought about running for Mayor or Council, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what the role involves, the election process, and what you can expect as a candidate.

📍 Council Chambers – Municipal Hall, 446 Main Street

The session will provide information on the role and responsibilities of elected officials and the election process, followed by a Q&A period.

Whether you’re seriously considering putting your name forward or simply want to better understand what’s involved, you’re encouraged to attend and ask questions.

The decisions made by our local government over the next four years will help shape the future of Sicamous. Getting informed is an important first step toward becoming involved in our community’s future.

Nomination packages are now available and can be picked up at Municipal Hall or accessed through the District’s candidate information page.
