Chamber member Eagle Valley Arts Council is inviting seniors, adults 55+, and community members aged 12 and up to take part in a meaningful day of creativity, wellness and connection through the Harmonious Heart/Mind Project.
📅 Monday, August 24, 2026 🕚 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM 📍 Red Barn Arts Center, Sicamous
This fully funded, professionally facilitated workshop is designed to encourage participants to explore emotional well-being, mindfulness and meaningful conversation in a welcoming and supportive environment.
A special part of the day will be a creative art activity where each participant will paint a canvas heart reflecting their own creativity, experiences and hopes. These individual hearts will eventually be brought together with hearts created in participating communities across the region to create a large-scale regional art exhibit celebrating connection, diversity and collective well-being.
No Artistic Experience Needed
Whether you consider yourself an artist or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years, everyone is welcome. All materials are provided, and there is no cost to participate.
Participants will also enjoy a complimentary lunch during the workshop, making this a wonderful opportunity to spend the day connecting with others while trying something creative and meaningful.
The completed regional exhibit will be unveiled at a special Reveal Gala in October at Hullcar Hall, bringing participants and communities from across the region together to celebrate the artwork and connections created through the project.
Following the gala, the exhibit will travel to participating communities, giving local residents the opportunity to see the collective artwork and discover how their individual contributions became part of a larger regional celebration of creativity, wellness and community connection.
Whether you come for the creative experience, the conversations, the opportunity to meet others, or simply the chance to try something new, the Harmonious Heart/Mind Project offers a welcoming space for community members to come together.
