The tournament will bring together para ice hockey athletes, families, volunteers and community members for a weekend celebrating the power of sport to bring people together.
Para ice hockey is an exciting and fast-paced adaptive sport that provides an opportunity for athletes with physical disabilities to compete, develop their skills and experience the teamwork and camaraderie that come with being part of a hockey team.
The inaugural Fun on the Ice tournament is an opportunity for the community to see these athletes in action and experience the energy and excitement of para ice hockey right here in Sicamous.
More than a hockey tournament, the weekend is about inclusion, teamwork, determination and creating opportunities for athletes of all abilities to participate in sport.
With the Sicamous & District Recreation Centre located just minutes from the shores of beautiful Shuswap Lake, visiting athletes and their families will also have the opportunity to experience everything our community has to offer during their stay.
