An Every Child Matters Community Art Experience
On Wednesday, September 30, from 2:00–4:00 PM, community members of all ages are invited to join Métis Medicine artist Ashta Funk for an afternoon of art, storytelling and community conversation.
Together, participants will explore the roots of Indigenous childhood — family, land, language, culture and belonging — while learning about the history of residential schools and recognizing the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities.
Through art, participants will create a unique piece representing what survived, what is being reclaimed and what we choose to carry forward.
No art experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided.
