The park’s Yard Creek Campground offers visitors 65 shaded sites suitable for both RVs and tents, along with a log picnic shelter and convenient toilet facilities, making it an ideal spot for camping and outdoor recreation.
Wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy observing a variety of bird species, including the intriguing American dippers. These small birds are known for their unique behavior of diving into the icy waters of Yard Creek to hunt for aquatic insects; they can often be spotted perched on rocks along the creek.
For outdoor activities, Yard Creek Provincial Park features an extensive network of recreational trails known as the Eagle River Nature Trails, located on the north side of the Trans-Canada Highway. The trailhead is accessible from a parking lot at the park's west end, providing easy access to explore the natural beauty of the area.
