The Sicamous Community Health Centre (SCHC) is a patient-centered medical facility offering primary care to the community under the leadership of Dr. Saad Alam, Dr. Carol Connick, Dr. Vicki Edmondson, and a team of highly qualified and attentive health-care professionals.
Offering primary care services under the community health centre (CHC) model allows our physicians to focus on what matters most—the care of their patients—while administrative duties are fulfilled by the District of Sicamous.
In 2020, the District of Sicamous was awarded $5.9 Million through the Rural and Northern Communities Program (Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program) for the design and construction of the new Shuswap Healing Centre. Upon completion of the project, this will be the new home of the Sicamous Community Health Centre and other health and wellness services in the community.
The Sicamous Community Health Centre is located at 217 Finlayson Street and serves patients Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you do not have a local physician, please contact the Centre to be added to list of patients being compiled. In some instances, walk-in appointments may be available.
