Description

The Sicamous Community Health Centre is a patient-centered medical facility
providing high-quality primary care to the community. Led by Dr. Vicki
Edmondson, Dr. Ebikabowei (Lucky) Kotingo, and Nurse Practitioner Jennifer
Post-Balfour, SCHC is supported by a dedicated team of skilled and
compassionate health-care professionals.
Operating under the Community Health Centre (CHC) model, SCHC allows
physicians and care providers to focus on what matters most-patient
care-while administrative support is managed by the District of Sicamous.
In 2020, the District was awarded $5.9 million through the Rural and
Northern Communities Program (Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program)
for the design and construction of the new Sek'emaws Sicamous Health Centre.
Scheduled for completion in mid-July 2025, the new facility will house the
SCHC along with additional allied health services to better serve the
region.
