Sicamous Eagles Jr. Hockey Club
Description

The Eagles have produced numerous NHL players, Sicamous is very much a hockey town and is, therefore, very invested in the local team.
The Sicamous Eagles Junior ‘B’ Hockey Club officially formed on May 17, 1994 and is one of 20 teams in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), one of the largest and strongest such leagues in B.C.
The team carries a mandate to provide opportunities for young men to develop their hockey and life skills with the goal of having a career in the hockey arena.
The Eagles have enjoyed a close affiliation with many teams in both the BC Hockey League and the Western Hockey League, working closely with team officials in directing players to the opportunities available to them through these organizations. Many Eagles alumni have moved up to play on Junior ‘A’ and European teams, while a number of those graduates—including Kris Beech, Shea Weber, Cody Franson, Deryk Engelland, Adrian Veideman, Kris Hogg, Andrew Ebbett and Andrew Kozak— have played or are currently playing in the NHL
